About the Artwork
This artwork is inspired by the local history tale of the time an extra-terrestrial stone plummeted into rural East Yorkshire. At around 3pm on the 13th December 1795 a mysterious stone crashed into a field at Wold Cottage, Wold Newton, causing great surprise to the locals working on the land.
