About the Artwork
This artwork is inspired by the haunting, 17th-century folklore tale "Owd Nance" of Burton Agnes Hall, East Yorkshire.
Legend says, the skull of Anne Griffith, 'Owd Nance', is to never leave Burton Agnes Hall, lest she will wreak havoc to those who encounter her spirit.
